T4T Golf Tournament Scoring

18 Hole Tournament – Captain’s Choice Four Person Scramble

Rules of Play

Scramble Format – All four members of the team shall hit one tee shot on every hole. The team then selects one tee shot and continues play from that point. This procedure is repeated until the ball is holed out.

Place ball within one club length (no closer to the hole) of the marked spot. Putts need to be made within 3 inches of the marked spot (no closer to the hole). The first ball to go in the hole is counted for the team score.

If the ball you choose to play is in a hazard (sand, water, etc.), the rough, or out of bounds, you cannot drop the ball outside of the hazard or rough even if relief is within one club length away.

Men tee off from the white tees and women from the red tees.

Three Tee Shot Requirement – Each golfer’s tee shot must be used three times during the 18 hole competition, as a minimum one must be used on each nine holes (front and back nine).

Putting Requirements – Each player’s putt must be used at least twice during the 18 hole competition, one per nine holes. To keep play moving a Maximum of Two Putts are Allowed Per Green.

  • Example: You’re on the Green in Regulation and miss two putts, DO NOT PUTT FOR BOGIE. TAKE BOGIE AS SCORE.
  • Exception: You’re on the Green in 2 on a par 5, you miss two putts, DO PUTT FOR PAR.

In The Spirit of the Game – Unlike many sports, golf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee or umpire. The game relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they may be. Call it etiquette, but this is the spirit of the game of golf. Please enjoy the day.
